Como trabalhar Língua Inglesa com crianças - Circle Time

Toda criança necessita de rotina e em sala de aula o professor deve assumir esse papel.

Utilizamos o termo Circle Time (hora da rodinha) para começarmos as aulas, explicarmos às crianças o que elas estudarão naquele dia. Sempre com músicas de greetings: olá, bom dia ou de boa tarde, após isso músicas que falem sobre o tempo What's the weather like?/ 
How's the weather like today?....

Após o Circle Time, ainda na rodinha, começamos o assunto, a discussão, a explicação, a brincadeira, ou a história. A atividade será inicializada no chão e quando partir para a parte de construir, colorir, recortar, colar ou de as fazer tarefas, iremos terminar na mesa, o que chamamos de Table Time.

Geralmente iniciamos os estudos de Língua Inglesa na Educação Infantil no berçário, a partir de 1 ano com músicas, nursery rhymes. A partir dessa idade, a criança é capaz de já começar de falar alguns vocábulos em Inglês e de entender alguns comandos como: jump, sit down, stand up etc.

Diferenças entre o Inglês Britânico e o Inglês Americano. Differences between American and British English

Sempre tento fazer um paralelo entre o British English e o American English para com os alunos, mas é algo bem complexo por haver dialetos em ambas.

A própria classificação "americano" e "britânico" não é precisa, uma vez que há dialetos dentro da LI. As diferenças entre o British English e o American English surgem principalmente na pronúncia, mais do que na escrita. Também encontramos algumas diferenças de vocabulário, e pequenas diferenças na ortografia e na gramática. 

Veremos a seguir algumas diferenças nos planos de vocabulário e ortografia, mas a que mais me surpreende ainda é bus (American English) e coach (British English). O que me intriga na Língua Inglesa em geral é que é uma palavra pode haver mais de um significado coach pode também significar: treinador, carruagem, instrutor, técnico. Trash (American English) e bin (British English), ambos  Na ortografia uma letra a mais como a vogal "u" pode aparecer também como o verbo colorir "color" (American) e "colour" (British).

As músicas para o Dia das Mães devem se adequar ao vocabulário das crianças, ao desenvolvimento da linguagem delas. Cada sala de aula, cada escola, cada turma possui um ritmo, cabe ao professor perceber e adequar a música com a faixa etária apropriada.
